Phi Chi Theta at SMU: the Alpha Gamma Chapter
Everything on one page: what the chapter is, what it does through the year, and how to get in touch.
Phi Chi Theta at SMU is the Alpha Gamma Chapter of a national professional business fraternity founded in 1924. It is coeducational, open to all majors, and holds chapter meetings at the Cox School of Business. The year includes guest speakers from Dallas firms, the Pie Chi Theta philanthropy for the SPCA, a spring formal and recruitment each fall and spring. Find the chapter on Instagram at @pct.smu.

The year, roughly
Fall opens with recruitment. That usually means the first weeks of September: Info Sessions, a Meet the Brothers social night, and an application deadline about a week after the first session. New members are onboarded through the fall while the chapter runs its normal meeting schedule with guest speakers from Dallas firms.
Spring opens with a second recruitment, then the philanthropy season. Pie Chi Theta is the chapter's annual campus event raising money for the SPCA. Spring also brings the formal, more speaker meetings and the wave of internship announcements as brothers lock in summer roles.
Exact dates change every semester. Treat this as the shape of the year, not the calendar.
What a chapter meeting is like
Picture a Cox classroom, not a house. Meetings mix chapter business with programming. On a speaker week a professional from a Dallas firm talks about their path and takes questions, and the most valuable ten minutes are usually the ones after, when brothers introduce themselves. On other weeks the chapter runs its own programming: interview practice, resume reviews with upperclassmen who just went through recruiting, committee updates and planning for the next event.
Where brothers go
Brothers have landed internships and full time roles at Morgan Stanley, JLL, Visa, Texas Capital Bank, Hilltop Securities, Lockton, USGA, the U.S. Department of Energy, Jackson Walker, Douglas Elliman, Northmarq, D CEO, Brasfield & Gorrie, CyrusOne, Origin Bank and Billabong. The internships page groups those by industry and explains how the chapter helps.
How to join
Attend an Info Session during recruitment, come to the social night, and submit the application. Officers read every application and follow up directly. The recruitment guide has the full walkthrough, and the FAQ covers the questions people ask at Info Sessions.
For companies and alumni
Firms that want to speak at a chapter meeting or meet brothers during recruiting season can reach the officers through the contact form; there is a sponsorship option in the dropdown. Alumni who want to reconnect can use the same form.
